You can register yourself or you can be referred by your general practitioner. Please note that only with referral by a general practitioner or company doctor can you receive (partial) insurance reimbursement.
After registration, you will receive a questionnaire that collects information about your medical history, current complaints and medication use. This allows us to help you quickly and specifically.
After completing the questionnaire, you will have a 30-minute online intake with a menopause nurse. During this session, we discuss your symptoms in your own terms, your lifestyle and dietary patterns, any additional conditions. We explain the menopause and offer advice on lifestyle and nutrition to alleviate your symptoms. This intake gives you insight into your symptoms and offers a first step toward relief. We are up to date on the latest
scientific insights and treatments in the field of menopause and after going through your symptoms and current lifestyle, we provide insights on how you could take the first step towards alleviating your menopause symptoms with nutrition and lifestyle.
At least 24 hours after the intake with the menopause nurse, a 30-minute digital consultation follows with a gynecologist who specializes in diagnosing menopause symptoms. The gynecologist discusses your symptoms, draws up a treatment plan, and discusses any medication and everything involved. This consultation offers you clarity about your treatment options and possible medication.
If medication is necessary, you will receive a customized treatment plan with bioidentical hormones specifically tailored to your symptoms.
About 6 to 8 weeks after your consultation with the gynecologist, you will have an interim consultation with the menopause nurse. We will discuss your progress, any side effects of medication and answer your questions. This consultation provides further support, and ensures you stay on track with your treatment.
The online monitoring consultation with the gynecologist takes place 3 months after the consultation with the gynecologist. During this evaluation we discuss your current symptoms, if any, the results of treatment and your satisfaction. This consultation differs from the intake and repeat consultations in that the focus is on the results of medication, lifestyle and treatment. The consultation begins by asking how you are doing, after which we assess your progress. This gives you full insight into treatment and results.
After the evaluation, follow-up consultations or referral back to the primary care physician may follow. Depending on how the treatment is going and the patient's wishes.
Upon successful completion of your treatment, you will receive an evaluation form. The gynecologist will inform your family doctor about the conclusion of your treatment and its progress. You have put a lot behind you!
We are thorough in everything we do at Sanical Health, and in some cases it is necessary to do blood tests before you begin a medical weight loss program. We do this to learn more about your health and biology. We offer blood tests nationwide, but it is voluntary and not required to begin the program.
